Mr Gove, the Housing Secretary said, leasheold is an outdated feudal system, that needs to go. Nearly five million homes in the UK are leasehold. “The people who live in them find themselves at the mercy of their freeholders, subject to extortoinate service changers and unable to sell up.” Sounds familiar right?
